Meet Daniel

The person bringing these connections together.

Technology with memory, cultura, y corazón.

I am a systems engineer, organizer, artist, husband, father, and lifelong Chicano activist. My central purpose is connecting the past—Aztlán, MEChA, family history, and community struggle—to the future through education, writing, websites, and my Aztec calendar project.

Daniel Gaytán

Un vato del barrio de San Anto.

Ojalá te caiga lo que digo, mon.

Bienvenido a mi website. Mi jale es diferente, y mis experiencias son de muchas ondas. Me gusta la vida. Mi jale es saber, y siempre tengo mucho más por aprender. Estar contento es quien soy.

Live, learn, and enjoy life

That’s what this website is for, mon. It brings together my story, professional background, interests, and the projects that keep me learning.

My interests and hobbies

I enjoy exploring new technologies, reading about personal development, and participating in community service. These interests keep me engaged and inspired, connect me with others, and bring creativity to my work.

Looking ahead

I want to keep connecting community memory with the tools of the future—preserving our stories and making them accessible through education, writing, and technology.

So I hope we can be friends. Hay nos vemos, mon, porque es un planeta muy grande.

Locomachine: the company behind the websites

Locomachine is my overall company, bringing together the website-making work behind Locomon, dgaytan.com, DanielGaytan.com, PE3-D, Lightbody Tailor, and Gaytan Artworks. Each website has its own purpose, people, and content ownership.

Independent creators & educational resources

Through Locomachine, I help make and host websites that connect people with this work. Website development and hosting are separate from content ownership: the work below belongs to its respective creators, businesses, and institutions.

Gaytan Signs — Joe Gaytan

Gaytan Signs is my brother Joe Gaytan’s business. The website and content belong to his business. My role is website hosting.

DigiWI — ECB

Kori Oberle is DigiWI’s main creator. She is an incredible individual that am thankful for her hard work, dedication, and collaboration.

We were employed by Wisconsin’s Educational Communications Board (ECB), alongside PHP developers. DigiWI grew from this collaboration and the broader public broadcasting effort.

I host this copy to help people explore this educational resource serving education, public broadcasting, and learning.
